I am a citizen of Sullivan, and I am unpleased with the way the board of Sullivan is handling things.
The mayor, J.T. Hardy, said in the meeting on April 6 that he did not know about the electric problem. In my opinion, that is a load of crap.
Mr. Hardy said he doesn’t think people are moving out of Sullivan. They are just moving in together. He expects the people of Sullivan to believe that. If Mr. Hardy believes that, then I just have to say that he is just being stupid.
The electric problem doesn’t affect the people on the council board because they have money. I would like to see them live on a fixed income of $1,300. They wouldn’t be able to afford the electric bill and all the rest of the expenses each month.
My opinion is the board needs to get off their high horses and do something about the problem. If they don’t do something about it soon, maybe the City of Sullivan needs to get new people for the board, and a new mayor.

Get this, I’m poor as the next guy and the electric problem doesn’t affect me………..I use natural gas….It doesn’t affect ALL citizens in Sullivan..Not saying there isn’t a problem with the usage some people have…The problem is not the City Council.

Count yourself as very lucky the electric problem doesn’t affect you. You are a Very Small group of people if you’re not being affected. What makes you so sure the problem isn’t the City Council. They control how long it will take, and even if the problem will be fixed. That is why those of us paying 600-1400 dollars per month are so upset. Maybe it doesn’t affect ALL, but it does affect MOST!!!
