Pizza Hut and Petals and Plants, both of Sullivan, held their grand prize drawing on Mon., Feb. 15. Don Richards who had ordered flowers for his fiancé was hopeful that his name would be drawn.
When contacted by the florist to inform him of the grand prize win, Richards stated, “Are you kidding me? This is so wonderful, I can’t believe it. I never win anything.” His excitement was obvious.
Rita Freeman, owner of Petals and Plants, said, “I really was not sure how something like this would be accepted. We knew that we wanted to do something for our customers that we had not done before. Pizza Hut really stepped up to the plate and made this giveaway possible. We received a lot of positive feedback from our customers and hope to work with Pizza Hut again on future promotions and giveaways.”
“Community involvement and connecting with customers is what it is all about. Being able to watch this local couple enjoy this grand prize for the entire year is a bonus for my team,” said Jessica Elsperman, general manager of the local Pizza Hut.
“Hopefully, all of the customers who went to Petals and Plants will enjoy the coupons that we gave out. We look forward to participating in something like this in the future. In this economy, giveaways are a great incentive.
