Ronald Lee Barnes, Sr. of Sullivan, MO was found at his home on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, having passed away at the age of 52 years.
Ron was born in St. Louis, MO on April 19, 1957 to Floyd E. and Alice N. (Walls) Barnes. He came to live in the Sullivan area 17 years ago and was employed as a commercial truck driver.
Ron was known for his sense of humor and his love of motorcycles. He “didn’t know a stranger” and enjoyed the company of his many friends.
He was a member of AMVETS, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Sullivan where he was known as “New Ron.”
He is survived by a son, Ronald L. Barnes, Jr. of Sullivan, MO; two daughters, Crystal Michel and husband, Chris, of Sullivan, MO and Rhonda Holzschuh and husband, Steven, of Monroe, MI; nine grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Noah Holzschuh.
Memorial funeral services for Ronald Barnes, Sr. were conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010 from the Eagles Hall in Sullivan.
