Linda Sue Girardeau of Sullivan, MO, formerly of DeSoto, MO, passed away at the John Cochran VA Medical Center, St. Louis, MO, on February 22, 2010 at the age of 61 years.
Linda was born on December 15, 1948 in Independence, MO to Lonnie and Mabel (nee Wright) Marshall. She was united in marriage to Karl Edward Girardier who preceded her in death. She was employed as a nurse’s aide.
Linda is survived by her five daughters, Elizabeth Costopoulos and husband, Chris, of Florala, AL, Helen Knickmeyer and husband, Richard, of Imperial, MO, Jennifer Wagner of Florala, AL, Sheila Julius and husband, Rick, of Sullivan, MO, and Tracie Greibel and husband, Jeff, of Ft. Wayne, IN; two brothers, Ralph Marshall of Kansas City, MO and Larry Marshall of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Barbara Faulkner of Kansas City, MO; 10 grandchildren, Krista Costopoulos, Victoria Costopoulos, Nathaniel Wagner, JoAnn Faulkner, Dean Julius, Charlie Julius, Robert Julius, Edward Julius and wife, Ammie, Courtney Rushing, and Eric Greibel; and five great-grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Karl Girardier; and siblings, Sandy Marshall, Thomas Marshall, Virginia Westone, James Marshall and Doris Wilson.
Visitation for Linda Sue Girardier was held from 3 p.m.-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, DeSoto, MO.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in DeSoto, MO, with Rev. Kirk Parnell officiating. Burial was in the National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
