TWO CHILDREN INJURED NEAR WOODLAND HEIGHTS. Two children received injuries when the vehicle they were traveling in overturned on snow-covered roadways. The vehicle was traveling on westbound I-44 when it traveled off the roadway where it overturned onto the North Service Rd

Two children received injuries when the vehicle they were traveling  overturned onto the North Service Rd. near Woodland Heights.
The accident reportedly occurred when Stacey Parks, 26, Hazelwood, was operating a westbound 2003 Ford Excursion on Interstate 44. Parks lost control of the vehicle on a snow-covered roadway and drove off the right side of the road. The vehicle then overturned onto the North Service Rd.
Two passengers in the vehicle, Mone Montgomery, 4, Hazelwood, and Marcel Parks, 8, Hazelwood, each received injuries. Montgomery, wearing a seat belt, received minor injuries while Parks, not wearing a seat belt, received moderate injuries. Both were transported by Missouri Baptist Ambulance to Missouri Baptist Hospital, Sullivan, for treatment.
The vehicle received extensive damage.
