Sullivan Area Chamber Of Commerce Prestigious Awards

The Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the 2009 Annual Chamber Banquet, entitled “Viva Las Vegas,” to be held on Sat., Feb. 27 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1000 Acid Mine Road, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The evening will feature the Sullivan High School Show Choir, the musical talent of Rich Vickers, and the recognition of Sullivan’s men, women, and businesses that have made a significant contribution to the improvement of life in our community during 2009. This event is also the largest fundraising event for the Chamber and will include a Silent Auction, Live Auction, and a 50/50 Raffle.
The nominees for the 2009 prestigious awards and their respective categories were announced this week.  They are:
Man of the Year: Jim Bartle, Dana Campbell, Shannon Johanning, Todd Lawrence, Jerry Thurmond and Rich White
Woman of the Year: Annette Isgriggs, Ruth Ann Lambing, Joyce Oberle, Lori Pryor, Lori Rego and Diane Sumpter
Young Man of the Year:  Jake Blaskie, Chris Frye, Luke Mayer, Justin O’dell, Dane Paneitz, Teran Racer, Kameron Reeves and Robert Rice
Young Lady of the Year: Kelsey Bylo, Kathleen Brueggemann, Kendall Center,  Marissa Dvorak, Shayla Harmon, Marissa Hewkin, Kelsey Krueger, Brianna Lore, Amanda Payne, Paige Pruitt, Ellie Reed, Mary Ryan, Trina Stumpe, and Ginny Young.
Entrepreneur Award:  Chris and Karen Yoest and Darren and Jennifer Newbanks.
New Business of the Year: Encore, ESBI-3, Feese Motor Co., Five Loaves, Mid-Missouri Scales and Three Sisters Consignment.
Beautification Award: Gerry Counts Plaza, McDonald’s, and South Community Credit Union.
Educator of the Year: Kay Bylo, Gary Edler, Terri Parks, Shelly Pryor-Davis, Karen Ryan, Lynn Smith, and Matt Wiegers.
Public Service Award:  Paulette Ely, Grace United Methodist Church, Habitat for Humanity, Lori Rego, A. Mitchel Klauser, and the Sullivan Fire Protection staff.
Previous winners of the Sullivan Prestigious Awards are asked to vote for this year’s nominees by stopping by the Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce between the hours of 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. to review the nominations and to cast their ballot. Voting will run Jan. 27 through Feb. 5.
Tickets for this year’s event will be $30 per person and may be purchased at the Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce.
