Nancy Carroll Wildeisen of Sullivan, MO passed away on Monday, January 18, 2010 at the age of 71 years.
Nancy was born at the family home on December 7, 1938 in Spring Bluff, MO to Frank J. and Hazel Elizabeth (Trafford) Soetebier. She was a lifelong resident of the Sullivan area. Nancy was employed at various companies in the area, which included the former Fashion Shoe Company, Meramec Industries, Fiber Craft and Industrial Wire Products from which she retired.
On October 22, 1954, she was united in marriage to Clifford (Sonny) John Wildeisen, Jr. and to this union two children were born. Nancy spent 35 years teaching the sport of bowling to youngsters, and it was her passion to teach children to bowl. She and Sonny are the only couple in the Four Rivers Bowling Hall of Fame. Nancy also loved the outdoors and was fond of flower gardening. She also treasured the time spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Sonny, of the family home; one son, Clint Wildeisen of Sullivan, MO; one daughter, Karen Halbert and husband, Jack, of Sullivan, MO; one brother, Joseph Soetebier and wife, Virginia, of DeSoto, MO; three grandchildren, Ross, Jasmyn and Kaemyn Halbert; other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry Edward Soetebier in infancy, John Arthur Barnes and Michael R. Soetebier.
Visitation for Nancy Wildeisen was held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2010 from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO, with Pastor Brian Dixon officiating. Cremation followed.
The family has suggested memorials to S.M.A.R.T (Scholarship Management and Accounting Reports for Tenpins) in the name of Nancy Wildeisen.
