The Missouri ASA 24th annual awards banquet will be held on Sat., Feb. 20 at Seven Springs Winery at the Lake of the Ozarks. Tickets are $25 each and must be purchased by mail through the Missouri ASA state office no later than Feb. 12.

Award recipients include: Hall of Blue (Umpires): Jack Walker, Albany, and Bob Garner, Cape Girardeau
Student Scholarship ($400 each): Katelynn Tolle, Bevier; Bailey Wingard, Clarksdale; and Morgan Wood, Hopkins
Retirement Awards: Leonard Lutz, Jefferson City, and Jim Hawkins, West Plains
Missouri ASA Hall of Fame: Mark Nelson, Springfield, and Ray Reinegel, Kelso
Special Team Induction: Mid State Oil Men’s Slow Pitch team
Five teams will also receive the Hall of Champions award for winning a national championship in 2009.
The Amateur Softball Association is the National Governing Body of Softball. The organization is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit orgainzation based in Oklahoma City, OK. The Missouri ASA State Office is located in St. James and State Commissioner Joey Rich oversees the day-to-day operations of the association.
