Using a third quarter 14-2 scoring advantage, Sullivan defeated Seckman 58-41 last Tuesday night to stop their four-game losing streak.
It was the penultimate non-conference game scheduled for the Lady Eagles, who played Wellston on Monday night.
Sullivan recovered from a disappointing loss the night before against St. Francis Borgia, where they cut what was a 15-point deficit to five points with over a minute to play, but could not get any closer.
In that game, Sullivan struggled in their shooting. Against Seckman, they shot 53 percent inside the arc.
Carissa Richardson led all scorers with 21 points on 9-14 shooting. She also collected 10 rebounds.
Jett Bouckaert scored 11 points and Hallie Davis had a season-high nine points.
Sullivan led 11-10 after the first quarter of action, then hit their stride in the second quarter. They blasted the Lady Jags, 16-6, to take a 27-16 lead into halftime. Seckman trailed 41-18 after three quarters.
Marissa Lehnig scored 12 points for Seckman. Courtney McKinely and Shelbey Stuckmeyer each had eight points. Jessica Montgomery scored six points, Abby Hayden had five points, and Jamie Sheets scored two points.
Seckman shot 37 percent for the game and made only two free throws.
Chelsea Strauser had seven points for Sullivan, Jessica Heinle and Demi Reed scored three points, and Sierra Fuchs and Olivia Louderman each had three points.
