The kindergarten students at Strain-Japan School celebrated the 100th day of school on Thursday, January 28.
The students had been anticipating the big day since the first day of school by “X”ing out the numbers each day. As the 100th day approached, the students were busy learning how to count to 100 by one’s, five’s, and ten’s. They also were deciding what 100 items they were going to bring to show and tell on that day.
The actual day included many “100” activities including finding 100 Hershey Kisses hidden around the room and placing them on the class 100 Chart. They enjoyed eating some of the found kisses and then sharing the rest with the rest of the school.
Then next day, the students enjoyed celebrating the 101st day of school by watching 101 Dalmations during lunch.
Now they are busy counting down the days until their graduation—just 73 school days from now!
