Rob and Tracy Ward, owners of the Sullivan Athletic Club, Sullivan, have ventured out to purchase another business as they recently acquired Janitorial Warehouse, 173 E. Springfield Rd., Sullivan.
“We saw this business as a great opportunity to grow and it allowed us to maintain our other business, Sullivan Athletic Club, which operates in the evening hours,” said Rob Ward, owner. “It allows us to be productive during the daytime hours. We had a smooth transition in purchasing the business from Bill and Audrey Happel in November.”
Ward stated that the reception they have received from customers since purchasing the business has been very well.
“We have had a good reception from everyone, so far,” said Ward. “We have a good, solid customer base both locally and out of town; thus, the business is growing each and every day.”
Ward feels that the business can expand in many areas and has a bright future.
“We have huge room to grow with this business in a variety of areas,” said Ward. “We offer free delivery and full service to our customers, both the residential customers and the commercial customers.”
Janitorial Warehouse carries a large number of products, not only for homes and commercial customers, but also for industry, motels and restaurants.
Their products cover the full scope of janitorial services from paper products to soaps, hand sanitizers, buffers and pads to a large supply of vacuums, vacuum belts, bags and other supplies. The business also offers carpet cleaners from Carpet Express.
“Presently, we have two employees on the delivery trucks, myself and Steve Fuchs out in the field selling our products, and Ashley Tyler operates the front office,” said Ward.
