Swift work by Sullivan police has brought three people into custody for two weekend burglaries. The arrests came in just over 24 hours from the original burglary report.
According to Sullivan Police Chief George R. Counts, Sullivan police were called to a burglary and stealing at Havin Material, 320 E. Springfield Rd., at 8:30 a.m. on Sun., Jan. 10. Authorities determined that a safe with an undetermined amount of cash was stolen along with money stolen from a vending machine and a cell phone.
The officers were called on Monday morning, Jan. 11, at 6:30 a.m. to Sullivan MFA, 11 W. Main St. Taken from the burglary was an undetermined amount of cash and clothing.
Following some swift investigation by Sullivan police, three white male adults were arrested on Monday morning at 8:04 a.m. Authorities located cash and other related items stolen from the two businesses at a home.
The suspects remain incarcerated at the Sullivan Police Department and their names are being withheld pending the issuance of warrants from the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
