Lady Eagles Hold Off Waynesville In Rolla Tourne

Surviving a third quarter where they were outscored 18-5, Sullivan’s girls basketball team won, 50-45 in their semifinal game of the Rolla Invitational on Jan. 9.
The tournament was originally supposed to be a round robin, but was altered because of the weather. Sullivan needed a win against Waynesville to advance to the tournament championship against Rolla.
The Lady Eagles jumped out to an 18-7 lead in the first quarter and led 26-17 at halftime.
Sullivan shot just 33 percent for the game, but were led by Carissa Richardson’s 26 points and 15 rebounds. Jett Bouckaert scored 15 points and hit three three-pointers.
Hallie Davis, Sierra Fuchs and Jessica Heinle each scored three points.
