The Sullivan Independent News is teaming up with the Sullivan High School Class of 2010 Project Graduation Committee for a subscription drive with a portion of the proceeds to benefit project graduation.
“Our publisher, Kathleen Manion, wanted to help project graduation and, after a meeting with the project graduation committee, we were able to finalize a program to help,” said James B. Bartle, editor. “For every new subscription or renewal from now through Feb. 28, the Independent News will donate $5 to project graduation. We have seen this type of program work very well in other communities and believe it will do well here.”
The program is simple. Senior class members, project graduation committee members and the Sullivan Independent News staff will be selling subscriptions to the paper at the normal rate of $34 for residents in Franklin, Washington or Crawford counties, or $32 for those 60 years of age or older. Five dollars from every subscription will then be donated to the SHS Class of 2010 Project Graduation.
Subscriptions can also be purchased through the mail service by sending your subscription amount to the Sullivan Independent News, P.O. Box 268, Sullivan, MO 63080.
For more information on this program, you may contact James B. Bartle at 573-468-6511.
