Constance Hope Griffith of Sullivan, MO passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the age of 79 years.
Connie, as she was known by her family and friends, was born in Ironwood, MI on September 6, 1930 to Ralph Clarence and Senia Miljana (Kujala) Rowell. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and had been employed for a time in Washington state. Upon the death of her husband, Russell, Connie moved to Sullivan where she worked at Wal-Mart.
She was a member and past trustee of the Hospital Auxiliary in Sullivan and a member and past officer of the Sullivan VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Connie was known as a true people person who didn’t know a stranger. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and scrapbooking in her free time.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
It was Mrs. Griffith’s desire to have her body donated to Saint Louis University School of Medicine and no funeral services to be held. Those who desire may make memorial contributions in her memory to the American Heart Association.
