Cases Investigated By The Crawford Co. Sheriff’s Office

Mon., Dec. 21 - Crawford County deputies received a report of a burglary from the Bourbon area.
Mon., Dec. 21 - Crawford County deputies received a report of fraudulent use of a credit device from a Cuba area resident.
Mon., Dec. 28 - Crawford County deputies responded to the Leasburg area for a theft not in progress.
Upon deputies arrival, they were informed by the homeowner that the items missing were taken by his wife.
A report was filed at the request of the reporting party.
A copy of this report will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.
Tues., Dec. 29 - Crawford County deputies took a report of a stolen trash can from a Cuba resident.
There are no suspects at this time.
The reporting party needed a report filed to document this incident for the sanitation service provider.
Tues., Dec. 29 - A report of fraud was taken from a resident of Steelville.
Person(s) unknown to them had used their credit card information for the purchase of goods and/or services.
A report of the incident was taken and further investigation to follow with leads from the credit card company.
Fri., Jan. 1 - A report of a possible arson was taken from a representative of the Bacon Cemetery Association.
The reporting party stated that she received a call that the outhouse near the chapel at Bacon Cemetery was burned down.
Deputies responded to the cemetery where they located the remains of the outhouse. Photographs of the scene were taken and a report was filed.
Further investigation to follow upon reception of new information.
