Join together with the community for a massive Bunco party on Sat., Jan. 23 at Grace United Methodist Church. The proceeds of the party will help send a team to build two houses this March in Juarez, Mexico.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with an entry fee of $10 per person, and the games begin with a short Bunco training session at 7 p.m.
If you are familiar with Bunco or if you have never played Bunco before, this night is for you! Bunco is a very simple game with lots of activity for everyone throughout the night.
Grace United Methodist Church is located on Highway AF, just behind West Brothers Chrysler. The community is invited to join this fundraiser and bring friends! Food will be available for purchase throughout the night.
Grace United Methodist Church has been involved in Project Hogar on the plateau of Juarez for six years. The homes are simple, built out of concrete blocks for families that currently live in homes made of pallets, and any other types of materials they may salvage. The families are often involved with the team in the building process and are overwhelmingly grateful for the generous gift of the home. The material for each home costs $2,000.
Community members can also purchase a block for $5 in their name or in honor or memory of someone—friend or loved one. These names are taken to the project site, read aloud, and enclosed in the final block going into the house.
Join us for Bunco and be a part of touching and changing the lives of two grateful families. Please contact the church at 573-468-6010 for more information about the Bunco party or Project Hogar.
