Tyler Kimberlin of Bourbon received the Charles L. Counts Memorial Agriculture Scholarship at the University of Missouri.
The merit-based scholarship is awarded to animal sciences students in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources. The award was established by family, friends and associates of Charles L. Counts, a 1950 graduate of the College of Agriculture and a 1957 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at MU.
“I feel so lucky to be considered for the Counts scholarship and am thankful for the donors’ continued support to the University of Missouri,” Kimberlin said.
Kimberlin, who graduated from Bourbon High School in 2004, is a junior majoring in veterinary medicine and minoring in animal sciences at MU. Kimberlin is the vice president for the Veterinary Medicine Class of 2011 and a member of the Bovine Club.
MU is the largest and oldest public university west of the Mississippi River and is the flagship university for the state of Missouri.
