The board finally rid themselves of their John Deere mower.
James King was the only bidder for the mower, purchasing it for $330.
Police officer Mike Smart’s hours are at their nadir, so the police report was small. Smart also asked about business cards. He said that he would leave the cards at places of business letting them know there has been a security check.
Trustees said they would get back to him at the next meeting.
Jared Boast provided a short briefing on the water. He said he and his crew found meters that have been dormant and needed to be turned on. Valves were also changed on them.
Boast said that they read meters extensively for two days and spent time numbering more. Not all the meters have been found and there are still seven to nine that need cards.
The meters that were found were secured and locked.
He also had an update on the substance that residents said was coming into their toilet bowl. After researching it, Boast said that it could be anything.
“Water has minerals in it and there are gases in any toilet or sewer system,” said Boast.
He said that material could have built up in the back of the toilets and it could be mold or mildew.
He does not think that it is anything harmful.
