A mobile home was completely destroyed by fire in just minutes on Thursday afternoon at the residence of Tonya Schatz and Doug Blankenship, 7084 Jakes Prairie Rd.
Sullivan Fire Dept. was called to the scene at 2:32 p.m.
“When we arrived on the scene, the doublewide mobile home was over 80 percent involved in fire,” said Sullivan Fire captain, Dave Konys. “The home owners were out of the home and there were no injuries.”
The cause of the fire is still undetermined at press time, with the scene turned over to Franklin County fire investigator, Jim Schumacher.
Sullivan Fire Dept. used six trucks to extinguish the blaze with assistance from the Beaufort-Leslie Fire Department.
The home and contents were a total loss.
