Cases Investigated By The Crawford Co. Sheriff’s Office

Mon., Oct. 19 - Crawford County deputies responded to an address on Valleyside Rd. for a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, it was learned that a subject and his stepfather had gotten into an altercation. The subject assaulted his stepfather and created property damage to the residence.
The subject was taken into custody and subsequently searched. A marijuana pipe and suspected marijuana was located on the subject’s person.
The residence owner and the stepfather did not wish to pursue charges.
The subject’s girlfriend was also contacted at the scene and deputies located alcohol in her vehicle. The girlfriend was discovered to be a minor and later was issued a citation for MIP.
The subject in custody then became violent while in the rear seat of a patrol vehicle and had to be restrained. The subject continued to resist this attempt to restrain him, before he was able to be transported to the Crawford County jail.
The subject will be placed on a 24-hour hold pending the application of warrants.
Mon., Oct. 19 - A report was taken by Crawford County deputies on property damage. Information was gathered and investigation to continue by this department.
Mon., Oct. 19 - Crawford County deputies took a report for property damage from a Cuba resident. Incident is under investigation by this department.
Mon., Oct. 19 - Crawford County deputies took a report of a burglary from a Cuba resident.
Information was gathered and evidence collected.
Investigation will continue by this department.
Tues., Oct. 20 - Crawford County deputies noticed a male subject riding down the highway on the wrong side of the roadway on a bicycle.
Deputies attempted to stop the male subject, who then dropped his bicycle alongside a residence and fled on foot. Deputies, after yelling for the suspect to stop, found the subject hiding in a yard near the scene where the suspect was last seen running.
The suspect was arrested and transported to the jail after receiving information that the suspect had a warrant for his arrest. Additional charges will be sought for resisting arrest by fleeing.
