Sullivan Woman Found Dead In Jail Cell

A Sullivan woman was found dead in the Sullivan Police Department Jail Saturday afternoon at 12:15 p.m.
According to Sullivan Police Chief George R. Counts, Karen A. Palmer, 27, Sullivan, was found hanging from a string from a hooded sweatshirt in her cell Saturday afternoon.
It is believed that Palmer had committed suicide in her cell.
Palmer was arrested on a Sullivan City warrant on Friday for alleged trespassing with her bond set at $250.
The Missouri Highway Patrol will be conducting an investigation into this matter.
