country-club-1country-club-2country-club-3The Lifetime Activities classes at Sullivan High School are designed to give junior and senior students the opportunity to experience many different activities that normal physical education classes do not. These activites are to help promote fitness and wellness that will last throughout their lifetimes.
Recently, the lifetime activity classes were welcomed by the Sullivan Country Club to take part in a two-week unit over golf.  Russ Luedloff, who serves as the golf pro for the country club, worked with students on many different aspects of golf, such as iron play, chipping, putting and how to hit a driver.
Lifetime activities instructor Jason Merkel had this to say, “On behalf of my classes, we just want to say thank you to Russ and the Sullivan Country Club for allowing us to use their staff and facility for the two weeks. Most students have never had the opportunity to even hit a golf ball before, and Russ did an outstanding job.  He broke down the game for the students and made it very enjoyable for all of them.”
Lifetime classes will also have the opportunity to take part in other activities this school year such as tennis, archery, orienterring, and bowling at the Sullivan Bowling Lanes.
