The St. John’s Mercy Hospital Auxiliary is accepting reservations for the second annual String of Pearls Dinner, Dance and Fundraiser, which will be held at 6 p.m. on Fri., Oct. 30 at Washington Elks Club, 1459 W. Fifth St. in Washington.
The evening will include cocktails, dinner, dancing, a silent auction and a chance to win a strand of pearls.
The schedule for the evening is cocktails at 6 p.m., dinner at 6:45 p.m. and dancing from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Music will be provided by the 12-piece, big-band sounds of St. Louis’s Blue Knights Orchestra.
Everyone who attends will be registered to win an 18-inch strand of Akoya cultured pearls from Altemueller Jewelry in Washington. Guests also may bid on several auction packages.
One package offers a one-week stay at a condominium in Naples, FL, overlooking Tarpon Bay, courtesy of Mary Anne and Steve Lochirco.
The artists and merchants of the Riverfront Arts District in New Haven, MO, have provided more than $2,000 worth of products and services to be auctioned individually and in packages at String of Pearls.
Items include glass, watercolor art, photography, pottery, a gift certificate for dinner and movie passes.   The items were provided by Front Street Artisans, Astral Glass, Russell Irwin Gallery, Katie Kantley Fashions, JFH Ceramic Studio, Somebody’s Restaurant, Riverfront Cultural Society, Walt Theatre and Miller’s Landing Bed and Breakfast.
Reservations for String of Pearls are $50 per person and tables of up to eight people are available. All proceeds from the event will support St. John’s Mercy Hospital in its healing mission.
