Burglary Interrupted At ChaseCo

Sullivan Police interrupted a burglary in progress at ChaseCo, Inc., 3135 North Service Rd. West, Sullivan, at 12 a.m. Wednesday morning, Oct. 7.
According to information obtained by the Sullivan Independent News an officer on routine patrol observed an apparent burglary in progress where suspects were attempting to steal several zero turn, Hustler, lawn mowers.
Sullivan Police began canvassing the area with assistance from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspects fled the scene in a pickup truck, however two vehicles, including a U-Haul, were recovered at the scene along with several lawn mowers.
Sullivan Police are conducting an investigation at press time including interviews outside of the Sullivan area.
Further details on the case will be forthcoming.
It is not known at press time if this case is related to a theft of four ATV’s this past week at Unique Power Sports, 4095 North Service Rd. West. This case is under the investigation of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department.
