The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 81 of Bourbon met at the Bourbon Community Center on Sept. 29.  President Eunice Ditterline conducted the business meeting.
Carolyn Isgriggs led the group in an opening prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given, along with the preamble to the Auxiliary constitution.
Following the reading and approval of the secretary’s minutes of the last meeting and the treasurer’s report, the ladies discussed plans for October.
The group will participate in the Bourbon Booster Halloween Family Night by offering refreshments at the dance, following the “Trick- or-Treating Spooktacular” on Main Street in downtown Bourbon.
Carolyn reported that the September Blood Mobile Drive, sponsored by the Unit, was successful and reminded everyone that the next visit from the Red Cross will be on Nov. 23.
Everyone was happy that the Legion and Auxiliary’s float in the Booster Fall Festival Parade won the third place trophy.
