Crawford County E911 Communications, the 911 call center and central dispatching agency for all emergencey services in Crawford County, has tabulated the total calls for emergency services in July, August and September 2009.
The total call volume for third quarter 2009 was 3,074 calls for assistance. 1,745 calls or 56.77 percent of these calls were from wireless phones. The total call volume by category was: Law – 956, Fire – 75, EMS – 567 and Other – 1,476.
Computer-aided dispatch entries for third quarter, Law entries: Crawford County Sheriff’s Department – 2,611, Steelville Police Department – 827, Cuba Police Department – 1,268, Bourbon Department of Public Safety – 755, Leasburg Police Department – 83.
Medical entries: Steelville Ambulance District – 335 and North Crawford County Ambulance District – 634.
Fire entries: Steelville Fire Protection District – 68, Cuba Volunteer Fire Department – 113, Bourbon Fire Protection District – 92, and Leasburg Volunteer Fire Department – 41.
Crawford County E911 Communication miscellaneous entries – 2,340; MULES/NCIC warrant/wants entries – 119.
