Robert Wayne “Bob” Hahn of Sullivan, MO passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2009 in his lake home in Pomme De Terre, MO at the age of 64 years.
Bob was born on July 18, 1945 in Ironton, MO to Donald and Lois (Tierney) Hahn, one of four children. He married Inez Susie Cross on December 28, 1963 in Sullivan, and to this union a daughter was born. During the late ‘70s, Bob was a member of the Sullivan Volunteer Fire Department, attaining the rank of Chief and receiving the Fireman of the Year Award in 1978. He worked for Pondrom Plumbing and later for the City of Sullivan for 20 years.
He loved to fish and hunt, especially with his son-in-law and grandson, was a wood worker, and loved a good joke.
He is survived by his wife, Susie, of the family home; a daughter, Lynn McMillan and husband, Wes, of Wentzville, MO; two grandchildren, Alex and Ashlee McMillan; sisters, Donna Harmon of South Carolina and Georgia Jordan and husband, George, of Villa Ridge, MO; a brother, Gary Durham and wife, Debbie, of Sullivan; a stepmother, Freda Hahn of Herculaneum, MO; stepbrothers, Willie Webb and wife, Brenda, and Tom Webb and wife, Charlotte; stepsister, Janet Bolling and husband, Pat; special friends, Carl and Sue Marks of Pomme De Terre, MO; other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Lois, and a brother-in-law, John Harmon.
Services for Bob Hahn were conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Ted Hurley officiating. Burial was in the IOOF Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Sullivan Animal Shelter.
