As reported first at www.mysullivannews.com, Franklin County authorities are continuing to investigate a burglary at a home located off Highway AF on Tuesday afternoon at 1:15 p.m.
According to Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke, a homeowner arrived home and noticed a subject walking from his residence. As he approached, he observed a black male coming from his home carrying two of his flat screen televisions under his arm.
The homeowner attempted to stop the subject, but the subject fled. Initial reports indicated that the suspect got into a blue truck, but further investigation revealed a white or cream-colored truck. The truck fled towards Sullivan occupied by a female driver and a black male suspect. The vehicle, according to the investigation, may have had Illinois license plates.
Anyone with information as to a possible suspect or who may have observed the vehicle in the area is requested to contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department Detective Bureau at 636-583-2560.
