Clarence Fredrick Binsbacher of Sullivan, MO passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the age of 73 years.
Fred, as he was known by his family and friends, was born in Stanton, MO to Clarence and Blanche (Randleman) Binsbacher. He was a lifelong resident of the Sullivan area and was a graduate of Sullivan High School. Fred attended three years at William Jewell University and later was employed as a lab supervisor with the former Pea Ridge Mining Company in Sullivan. On September 7, 1963, Fred was united in marriage to Carol Schmidt and to this union two children were born.
Fred’s passion was the game of golf. He was a member of the Sullivan Country Club for over 40 years and during that time shot three or four hole-in-one tee shots. He also was fond of fishing and hunting, especially turkey hunting.
His grandchildren meant the world to him and he would enjoy their company and love as only a grandparent can experience. Fred was known as a quiet man with a mild manner and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, of the family home; a son, Jason Binsbacher and wife, Heidi, of Sullivan; and a daughter, Kelly Williams and husband, Jon, of Eureka, MO; grandchildren, Drew and Craig Binsbacher and Reece Williams; other relatives and friends.
Along with his parents, Fred was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Connor and Lucas Binsbacher.
Visitation for Fred Binsbacher was held from 5 p.m.–8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
Funeral services were private.
