Franklin County Man Receives Prison Sentence

A Franklin County man was sentenced to serve 57 months in federal prison after pleading guilty in May to one felony count of possession of pseudoephedrine knowing that it would be used to manufacture methamphetamine.
William Manning, 36, St. Clair, appeared before U.S. District Judge Donald J. Stohr, in St. Louis, Thursday.
According to court documents, Manning was arrested and found in possession of pseudoephedrine on July 15, 2008.
U.S. Acting District Attorney Michael W. Reap commended the work on the case by the Franklin County Narcotics Enforcement Unit, ATF, and U.S. Attorney Eliza Williams, who handled the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
