A one-vehicle accident on eastbound Interstate 44 left two people injured on Mon., June 29 at 1:30 p.m.
Logan Roberts, of El Paso, TX, was the driver of a 2005 Saturn Vue that was overturned on the 218 mile marker in Bourbon. Roberts reportedly was changing lanes when he observed a vehicle in his blind spot. He swerved to back into the right lane when the trailer he was carrying came off the ground on the left side. The force of the trailer caused him to exit the roadway and overturn twice, the car coming to rest on its top.
The passengers in the vehicle, Ellan Roberts and Joni May Ganden, were transported by ambulance to Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan for treatment.
The vehicle was towed by Brad’s Towing.
