biggestloserAfter months of hard work on behalf of the 61 employees who participated in the Biggest Loser competition, Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital (MBSH) is proud to announce Jacob Smith, Sr. as the contest winner.
Smith has worked at MBSH for three years as a mechanic in the Maintenance Department. Even before the Biggest Loser program began, Smith had started working toward his personal weight loss goal. When he heard about the competition, he decided to sign up for some extra motivation.
Smith took first place, losing a total of 47.8 pounds during the 12-week competition. Participants’ total weight loss was calculated by percentage, with Smith losing 19.62 percent of his starting body weight. MBSH would also like to recognize its second and third place Biggest Losers, Laura Tuschhoff and Paula Capps.
Smith was extremely motivated throughout the competition.
He said, “Losing weight takes hard work and dedication. I feel a lot more energetic now.”
The dedication and determination of all of MBSH’s Biggest Loser participants is inspiring. A grand total of 544.1 pounds was lost by all participants of the Biggest Loser challenge at MBSH.
