Bourbon police recovered the body of a deceased man that was found on 103 Highway C on Sunday morning.
An investigation is ongoing, but officers responded to a 911 call at 10:18 a.m. regarding an unresponsive man. Police arrived and took command of the scene. EMS personnel had already arrived.
It is believed that the individual is Felipe Ramirez, 51, from Mexico. Ramirez had been recently released from Missouri Baptist in Sullivan after refusing treatment for apparent chest pains.
Preliminary results indicate that Ramirez died from an apparent heart attack. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
