On Sat., June 20, HALO for Animals will be holding a fundraising event, “Bargains, Books and Bake Sale.”
The event will be held on Orscheln’s parking lot from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Yard sale items, lots of books and assorted baked items will be available to the public.
During the event, some of their “foster” kittens that are eligible for adoption will be there looking for just the right person or family to take them to a new “forever” home.
Proceeds from the event will be used toward the HALO spay/neuter program.
With these funds, HALO is able to offer one-half off of the cost of spay or neuter for every animal that is adopted from the Sullivan Pound or through the HALO Adoption Days.
HALO is a not-for-profit, all volunteer organization which works hand-in-hand with the City of Sullivan pound and Animal Control officer, Jim Bogert.
Through diligent efforts of Mr. Bogert and the members of HALO, animals who find themselves in the city pound are given a second chance to find loving adoptive homes.
They encourage everyone to come out to the “Bargains, Books and Bake Sale” and help HALO help these cats and dogs.
