A 41-year-old Sullivan man has been arrested for investigation of manufacturing methamphetamine at his rental home at 307 Elmont Rd.
Sullivan Police obtained a search warrant from Franklin County Court at 10:49 p.m. Tuesday morning, May 5, and executed the warrant locating a working meth lab along with finished product.
“We did locate a substance we believe to be methamphetamine which will be sent to the Missouri Highway Patrol crime Lab for testing,” said Sullivan Police Chief George R. Counts. “We also brought in assistance from the Franklin County Narcotics Enforcement Unit to help dismantle the equipment.”
Counts reported that the home was equipped with a camera surveillance system.
Sullivan Police and FCNEU remained on the scene of the home for more than two hours.
A juvenile subject was also located in the home during the time the search warrant was executed. The juvenile was turned over to juvenile custody.
According to Counts the suspects name is being withheld pending the issuance of warrants.
The case is expected to be brought before a Franklin County Grand Jury.
