11. Ordinances

  • 1) Bill No. 3340, sponsored by Alderman Thomas Leasor, being an ordinance approving a contract agreement with N.B. West Contracting, Incorporated which contract deals with asphalt paving projects in the City of Sullivan, Missouri for the Year 2009; and, authorizing the Mayor to execute. (Passage ofthis bill would approve asphalt paving projects for the year 2009. Based on unit prices, the bid was awarded to N.B. West at the April 7th meeting, with a projected amount estimated to be $102,822.12.)
  • 2) Bill No. 3341, sponsored by Alderman Dennis Watz, being an ordinance approving a grant application agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice for the “Secure Our Schools” 2009 Program which application deals with a digital security camera system for the Sullivan School District in the City of Sullivan, Missouri and authorizing the Mayor to execute.

(Passage of this bill would approve an application for federal assistance thru the COPS Grant Funding Program for the purpose of purchasing a digital IP security camera system for the Sullivan School District at a cost of$119,982. This is a 50/50 cost share with the school’s portion being $59,991. The City of Sullivan/Police Department must sponsor the application in order for the school to be eligible.)
