- Bill No. 3342, sponsored by Alderman Jarrett Dace, being an ordinance approving a contract of employment with Hansen, Stierberger, Downard, Melenbrink & Schroeder, LLC which contract deals with legal counsel and prosecuting attorney services for the City of Sullivan, Missouri, and authorizing the Mayor to execute.(Passage of this bill would approve a contract with the law firm of Hansen, Stierberger, Downard, Melenbrink & Schroeder, LLC for legal counsel & prosecuting attorney services at an hourly rate of $90. The contract can be terminated at any time by either party with 30-days written notice. This is the same contract as the past three years.)
- Bill No. 3343, sponsored by Alderman Mike Ryan, Jr., being an ordinance approving the form of an agreement with Spencer, Fane, Britt & Browne, LLP which agreement deals with legal and strategic assistance in connection with issues relating to the Village of Oak Grove Superfund Cleanup Site, and authorizing the Mayor to execute. (Passage of this bill would approve hiring special environmental legal counsel for support in matters related to the former landfill site. This law firm is located in Kansas City, Missouri and their standard hourly rates range from $190 to $450 per hour. This is the same firm that assisted the city in water protection issues back in the year 2003, and the wastewater treatment plant back in 2007.)
- Bill No. 3344, sponsored by Alderman Jarrett Dace, being an ordinance approving Change Order #5 with CSE Construction Company, Incorporated which change order deals with the pump control system on construction of Phases One and Two of the new Wastewater Treatment Plant in the City of Sullivan, Missouri and authorizing the Mayor to execute.(Passage of this bill would replace the existing pump for the WWTP which has become unreliable and in a state of disrepair. The cost for a new pump is $26;427.38 which will help standardize the plant with other lift stations. This brings the contract total to $4,657,485.58.)
- Bill No. 3345, sponsored by Alderman Thomas Leasor, being an ordinance of the City of Sullivan, Missouri, repealing Ordinance No. 3333, passed and approved by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen on March 17,2009, which pertained to an agreement with the Missouri Highways & Transportation Commission dealing with improvements to Vine Street. (Passage of this bill would repeal the enabling ordinance which incorrectly stated that the agreement was related to the STP-Urban Program. The project actually falls under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Program.)
- Bill No. 3346, sponsored by Alderman Thomas Leasor, being an ordinance approving an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Federal Aid Program (ARRA) agreement which agreement deals with improvements to Vine Street from McKinley Street to Hughes Ford Road in the City of Sullivan, Missouri and authorizjng the Mayor to Execute.(Passage of this bill would authorize the city to participate in the ARRA Program for the Vine Street Phase Two Project from McKinley to Hughes Ford Road. Participation under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 allows up to a maximum of $766,676 of eligible costs to be covered.)
