Burglary Incident Reveals Meth Lab Near Gerald

Franklin County deputies responded to an abandoned farmhouse off Highway Y, Gerald, on Sunday night, May 3, at 10:07 p.m., after receiving a report of possible burglars in the home.
Deputies arrived on the scene and located two male subjects in the home manufacturing methamphetamine.
One male was taken into custody in the front room of the home while a second suspect fled on foot from a rear room and was apprehended by a foot chase with deputies.
The Franklin County Narcotics Enforcement Unit was called to the scene to dismantle the meth lab.
The two suspects, a white male, 41, Owensville, and a white male, 31, Gerald, were both taken into custody for investigation of narcotics violations.
