“We have talked about opening this type business in downtown Sullivan for several years and decided that if we didn’t do it now we never would,” said Terry Pilkenton and Rick Webb of Aaction Photography, 12 West Main St., Sullivan.
Aaction Photography is a family-owned business and Webb and Pilkenton are brother and sister-in-law.
“We really like the downtown setting that we’re in here and our customers have been very pleased with the work we’ve already done,” said Pilkenton.
Aaction Photography provides portraits and photography for weddings, senior pictures, sports events and animal pictures. They have a complete inside studio and are willing to travel to your chosen location.
The business also offers custom frames, photo restoration, transferring VHS tapes to DVD, tuxedo rental and wedding/event invitations.
“I want to see our business become a one-stop shop for brides. That’s my goal,” said Webb. “We’re presently working with a cake decorator and have plans to add other people to our business to provide brides with a one-stop shop for their wedding.”
Pilkenton brings 25 years in the photography field to the studio and is excited about the business potential.
“I’m very pleased in what we’ve seen so far. We have received several repeat customers on both the restoration of photographs and with the custom frames,” said Pilkenton.
The business can be reached by calling 573-468-5025.
