Three Area School Boards Have Races Tuesday

Three local area school boards will have races on Tues., Apr. 7 for their respective Boards of Education.
In the Sullivan School District, three candidates are seeking two positions for three-year terms. All three candidates are seeking their first seats on the board as the two previous incumbents did not seek reelection.
The Sullivan School District Board of Education candidates are Chad Johnson, Phillip B. Thomure and Shannon Johanning.
In the Spring Bluff School District, two candidates are running unopposed for two three-year terms. Steve Stumpe and Michael Hoffman are running unopposed while four candidates are seeking to fill a one-year unexpired term on the board. These candidates are Jill Wagner, Eddie Tyree, Natalie Counts and Jim Goodman.
In the Strain-Japan School District, three candidates are seeking to fill two three-year terms. The candidates are incumbents Jeffrey Smith and Mark Thurmond along with Scott Cassidy.
