Suzanne Skaggs Receives Caring Spirit Award

color-suzanneskaggsMissouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital (MBSH) names Suzanne Skaggs the Caring Spirit Award recipient for February 2009. Skaggs is an emergency department tech (paramedic) in the emergency department of MBSH.  She was selected from several individuals that were nominated for this honor.
Skaggs, of Eureka, received her education at Mehlville High School, St. Louis Community College-Forest Park and St. Louis University where she earned paramedic certification/license. Skaggs has been employed with Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for 11 years.
Skaggs was nominated by MBSH by Tammy Bouse, lab analyst.
Bouse stated, “Suzanne has a great passion for patient and family-centered care and the work she does in the emergency department. Suzanne is a breath of fresh air and is one of the biggest assets we have at MBSH.”
“Suzanne has coached many employees and many co-workers have expressed their feelings about what a great staff member and co-worker she is. Suzanne deserves to be recognized for all of her efforts.”
With the award, Skaggs received candy, balloons and a monetary gift presented by Tony Schwarm, president, Carmen Bartolotta, chief nurse executive, and Zelda Shelton, emergency department manager. She will be featured on the Caring Spirit Award wall at MBSH.
