Janet M. Jost of Sullivan, MO passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the age of 54 years.
Janet was born on June 3, 1954 in Sullivan, MO to William Leonard and Delcia Marie (nee Starks) Neff, one of 10 children. She had three children of her own but babysat for many children in her home; some children of children she sat for years earlier. Even with all the children in and out of her home, Janet was a meticulous housekeeper. She enjoyed dancing with her children as they worked and listening to music.
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Lee Gozia and husband, Michael, of Sullivan, Jamie Marie Hammock and husband, Mark, of Leasburg, and Anna Michelle Jost and fiance, Anthony Nixon, of Sullivan; four grandchildren, LeeAnn, Anthony, Ashton, and Sabastian; three brothers, Donald Neff, Carl Neff and Tom Neff; four sisters, Charlotte Thompson, Sharon Horn, Karen Moss and Kathy Higgins; other relatives and friends.
It was Janet’s wishes to be cremated and a memorial service and gathering will be conducted from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
