Blanche Elizabeth Lewis of Owensville, MO died on Monday, March 16, 2009 at the Gasconade Manor Nursing Home in Owensville at the age of 81 years.
Blanche was born in St. Louis on February 5, 1928, the daughter of the late Peter and Bertha (Householder) Pikey.  On November 10, 1956 in St. Louis, she was united in marriage to Charles Lewis.
Her survivors include sons, Lloyd Boyer of Walnut Hill, IL, John Boyer and wife, Janice, of Camilla, GA, Chuck Lewis and wife, Donna, of Owensville, MO and Chris Lewis and wife, Brenda, of Washington; daughters, Joanne Phillips of Fredricktown, MO, Alice Brooks and husband, Dwain, of Berger and Charlene Penn and husband, Roger, of Hermann; sister-in-law, Pat Pikey of St. Louis; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lewis; brothers, Charles and Carles Pikey; and sister, Irene Quillman.
Funeral services for Blanche Elizabeth Lewis were held on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with Pastor Rick Oberle officiating.  Burial was in the Countryside Memorial Gardens.
