Eldo Meyer and Stacey Schroeder, both of Franklin County, MO, will appear on “Turkey Call,” a hunting series produced by the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF). The show will air on the Outdoor Channel on the following dates:
*Tues., Feb. 3 at 12 p.m. (EST)
*Sat., Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. (EST)
*Sun., Feb. 8 at 3 a.m. (EST)
On this episode of “Turkey Call,” NWTF members, Keith Ruediger and Eldo Meyer, will hunt longbeards with two exceptional Women in the Outdoors members. They’ll be at the Stone Hill Winery in Hermann, MO, with International Olympic skeet shooter, Haley Dunn, and former Junior Olympic Shotgun Team member, Stacey Schroeder.
Since 1998, the NWTF’s Women in the Outdoors program has worked to share the outdoor tradition by providing expert instruction and hands-on education through events designed for women. During its inaugural year, Women in the Outdoors hosted 18 events and today the program organizes more than 400 events across the nation.
The 2009 season of “Turkey Call” features new host and NWTF spokesman, Michael Waddell. With Waddell, one of the outdoor industry’s most charismatic television show hosts, as the new host of “Turkey Call,” viewers can expect to see his energy, hunting know-how and terrific sense of humor take “Turkey Call” television to the next level.
“As I serve as the new host of “Turkey Call” television, we’re going coast-to- coast hunting wild turkeys,” said Waddell. “My number one goal is to be the hunter I was raised to be and to have fun. I love having fun and I love being in the woods. No other organization celebrates the outdoors like NWTF.”
“Turkey Call” takes viewers on trips across North America in search of the world’s greatest game bird, the wild turkey. Each weekly episode is packed with great action and valuable tips on what it takes to become a successful turkey hunter.
From the jungles of Guatemala to the Kansas plains, the pine forests of the South to the hills of California, “Turkey Call” tells the story of the hunting tradition we enjoy today.
